Leming

Voland & Quist, 2024

It's not so easy, this thing with life as an almost-no-longer-teenager: Kolja, Verena, and Reinhold meet each other in an online suicide forum. Together, aiming for an appropriately dramatic ending, they plan to drive to Lake Balaton to jump into an extinct volcano. Except that Kolja is actually coming along to try to talk the other two out of their plan. But can a chaotic journey in a tuned-up Audi, a dead grandfather, a wild party night at Lake Balaton, a solar eclipse, and ultimately their friendship give Verena and Reinhold a new zest for life?

"Tschick" meets Nick Hornby's "A Long Way Down" in the setting of "The End of the F+++ing World."

"Reinhold didn't just have a crappy name, but also a lowered Audi A3."
